We are The Velvet Zebra, two Chainmaille artisans and fantasy storytellers based in the Pacific Northwest. Our work blends historical craftsmanship with genre-bending design. Each piece is forged from real metal rings. They are inspired by Viking grit, Medieval lore, and the wild elegance of imagined realms.

What began as a fascination with ancient weaves has grown into a living gallery of heroes, guardians, and legends. Every piece is handcrafted in Anodized Aluminum using colors that will never fade or rub off. We design for people who want to wear their myth. Whether they are stepping into cosplay, performance, or simply feeling powerful in their own skin.

Some of the character photographs are digitally modeled from our real-world creations. This gives you a better idea of how you can use them in your own realm. Any time we use fur, it is genuine rabbit fur, and can be removed if you prefer.
